CopyLog
Problem… I find something good to copy. I shade the area, right-click Copy, then paste it to a file. Later, I may want to bring that copied information back into another file — but I cannot remember exactly where I put it. I may also want to see what I copied across time, maybe as a reminder.
Solution… CopyLog creates a file of every copy you make until the time you choose for the app to erase it. If your copy has text, which is usually the case, CopyLog logs the words into an indexed database file for instant search and retrieval. So if you remember a unique word or phrase from that copied text, CopyLog can instantly find the saved copy for you. Amazing.

What CopyLog Does
Do you research on the internet? See articles you like, then do copy/pastes to include in your work? A few months later you’re working on a similar topic and want that earlier information, but can’t locate it. Sometimes it’s hard to stay organized enough to easily find stuff. Especially little stuff like a copy routine that can get buried in a sea of past work, then float away forever.
Wouldn’t it be nice to automatically have a backup file of all copy routines you do? Then later be able to easily and instantly find an article you copied months or even years earlier. And it only takes you remembering some unique words INSIDE the article you copied. Then, boom… there it is.
I tested this app for a month. When I did a search, I usually had 3 to 10 files as results. I had to open each file and do a control F to see the search words. Opening a file, doing a control F, closing the file and opening another one, etc. A real pain and wasted time. So I put another button in called ‘View Selected Copy’. You press the button and see the text with the search words highlighted. You press close then quickly view other files until you find what you want. The benefit is the search words are highlighted in yellow. It really helped.
